Jacoby Consulting, six other consulting firms join to become ITS Associates

Jacoby Consulting joined with six other independent consulting firms to form ITS Associates to support agencies in ITS development and deployment. This federation of consultants maintains the flexibility and agility of each small company, yet provides an agency the depth and strength of a large company. The other consulting firms are Klein Consulting, SEA Consulting, ASE Consulting, Cardiff Computer Associates, J and J Project Consultant, and WorldWideWords.

"I'm pleased to be part of this group," says Dr. Carol Jacoby. "I've worked with many of these people on ITS projects going back to the early 90's, and they are all top-notch. Everyone has at least 20 years of experience in an area of system development, but our best service is the range of expertise, which covers the entire ITS development process from initial stakeholder workshops and concept development to integration--all supported by sound practice in systems engineering and cogent analysis. I can immediately form the ideal team to meet the agency's needs."

Each associate brings unique experience and knowledge. Dr. Carol Jacoby, of Jacoby Consulting, has more than 25 years of experience in system architecture. Her expertise is in the critical early phases of ITS system development. Ms. Nancy Rantowich, of SEA Consulting, has performed cost-benefit studies for 27 years to determine the most cost-effective multi-year evolutionary path for developing a complex system of systems. Mr. Michael E. Krueger, of ASE Consulting, specializes in Systems Engineering training, process improvement, and consulting in the areas of requirements, configuration management, and systems management. Dr. Lawrence A. Klein, of Klein Consulting, is recognized within the traffic management community for expertise in evaluating and specifying detectors for advanced traffic management concepts and in developing ITS architecture. Mr. James Lewis, of J & J Project Consultant, has more than 30 years of experience in systems engineering and project management, 15 of them in ITS, with expertise in large-scale, computer based, highly interactive system design, implementation, and project management. Dr. Sandra Kells, of Cardiff Computer Systems, has more than 20 years of experience as a systems and software engineer and was the system software lead for the traffic management system of the fully automated Cross Israel Highway electronic toll road. Ms. Kathey Schuster, of WorldWideWords, provides technical documentation, manuals, graphics, marketing tools, websites, requests for proposal, proposals, industry journal articles and presentations.

ITS Associates provide independent technical support to transportation agencies, either through the individual consulting companies or through teams of the consulting companies. For more information contact Carol Jacoby at Jacoby Consulting, 562-421-3412, cjacoby@jacobyconsulting.com.
